Also the 79' Buick Riviera was the same. I know because I had one. One winter, I spun the front tires for a long time on the steep driveway we had until the snow ice melted and I was able to gain traction on the cement. It was a freakin' pimp car!
Sphyder (moderator) has a Toronado now. Pretty wicked car.
This design is also used on the VW Passat 1.8t and is very efficient. I know because I have one with 185k miles on the clock.
