hmmm not sure about the placement and where its leaking from, but when I had my coolant leak, it was the actual water pump that was gone. It was pissing coolant out of the releaf valve, I think the seal was coroded or something. In any case I had to replace the water pump. Check the pump to make sure its working as it should. If its going then you should also hear it working pretty hard.
