Well if you bought the car
NEW you should have called you a Lawyer and made the Dealer eat the car!
But now its a little late for the lemon law to work
The 3.4 in your Firechicken is NOT the same engine as the 3.4 in your GA.
I'm very familar with Atlanta, you have what 8 lanes now one way, the 65mph, 75, 85, 95+mph to your left ? Cops sit on the median waiting for the wrecks ?
May I ask where your car was Made, what state or country?
If your key is sticking in the ignition, then you do have other troubles, and that would also be why you security light does what it does not letting you start it.
Too many things hanging on your key chain is another problem that causes your ignition to faull up.
Hey, Dont feel like
you're the only one who's had all these problems.
Take a look in the Grand Am forum and you will see 1000's of posts on the same topics and grippes that you have with over heating, windows falling etc etc.
IMO You're just taking it way to personal.
You know, GM the company didnt go to the factory and tell thier emploies to do shabby work, and "make everyone pay", it just happens.
Maybe to offten, but that was
Your choice to buy the car, and not part with it at the first sign of trouble(s).
ALso IMO the 2001 GA's are the Worst of all GA's.
Sorry if I sounded condescending, I wasnt trying to be.
I did used to work for a GM dealer back in the late 80's early 90's and this is exactly why I got out when I did, and went to work for myself. Not because of the GM corp but due to bad customer service at the facility I worked at.
What I called milking the customers when warranty work was done.
Hopefully your troubles will subside and give you less fits. But this
is the place to find info on your GA for future assistance.
