Had the same problem many years ago. 3 mechanics told me it was the rear main seal, take it to a tranny shop. Thankfully the shop mechanic was honest and told me what the real problem was and fixed it, just the oil filter adapter leaking.
Since then, I had to replace the lines once and I replaced the adapters seals while I was there.
Guess what happened within six months?
The damn lines developed a pin hole leak up near the oil filter. PC 7 to the rescue. I will be replacing it finally in the next month or so.
