Just about all cars have an idle speed adjuster. Well, all fuel injected ones do. But import carb'd engines, I'm not sure.
I'm a small go-kart engine carb master, not import carb. But anyway, get a repair manual to find out where yours is, if you have one. It's usually a screw that's sometimes covered with something (rubber thingy). A repair manual is good to get anyway.
If you don't have an adjuster, you might have your air/fuel ratio wrong. Hook up an O2 sensor and gauge from JCWhitney.com and that will eliminate the guesswork.
