I'm seriously no car expert, and even more so about Mitsubishi's, but if you say that the gas gauge works when you are going at a normal speed, but it screws up when you start the traffic driving, that to me would say that the sensor in the fuel tank is wacked up???? I don't really know much about it, but that to me would make some sense!
