Sounds like an all too common ignition switch failure. You get the symptoms you describe when an ign switch goes out. They can be disassembled and cleaned. It's a real cheezy part. Hard to beleive your dealership is not familiar with this?!
This is a VERY common failure item on these trucks. Personally I would go to another dealership.
