I personally did see it but heres what someone said from another site . I can't wait

Hey
Last Thursday, my brother and I saw a free showing of "The Fast and the Furious." I wasn't originally going to write in, figuring that plenty of others would. However, having only seen one review which proclaimed that only idiots would really like it i felt i must throw my glove in with the idiots.
BooBoo missed one very important aspect of the film in his review. IT'S AN ACTION MOVIE! Of course plot isn't going to be the main focus, of course you're going to have to suspend belief.
That said here's my review: "The Fast and the Furious" is basically "Point Break" with cars instead of surfboards. Undercover agent infiltrates criminal sports group and finds himself conflicted when it comes time to do his duty. That basically gives a summary of the whole movie. As i said it's an action movie, we didn't come for the plot. This is definitely a guy’s movie. It involves beautiful, fast cars, beautiful women and plenty of action.
The soundtrack is loud and pounding filled with plenty of well-known bands (well, except for Mexican hardcore band Molotov). It has been my experience that action films involving car chasing are difficult to shoot but with the help of (i think) computer graphic this film does an excellent job.
The one of the only drag races you see is great, each car is going somewhere around 160 mph and you feel it. Almost every scene involving a car has at least one shot of someone pressing the nitro button.
There's about 5 major races between all kinds of vehicles, all of which are fun. BooBoo was right that the one with the mack truck is particularly good but so was the drag race i already mention and another involving 2 cars and 2 motorcycles. The final race at the end is also worthy of mention since it involves 2 car racing a train and has a very surprising ending. It startled me, my brother and most of the audience. Since most of the male actors are just huge with fight scenes are also quite good. This one particular stunt in a scene where a SWAT team tries to arrest someone which I’d love to know how they did. On screen i couldn't see how they didn't hurt the actor involved.
Vin Deisel is his usual giant self, action guy who can actually act. I doubt this will be the film that makes him but he's already well on his way. The rest of the cast is just fine too but once again it isn't the acting we're coming to see. Ja Rule (I believe) also appears in one scene and is quite funny. Over all this is a really good action movie. It keeps you entertained through out. I'll agree with BooBoo that the ending is a bit of a let down but you know its coming so not too much. The final sequence is just Vin Deisel and gives you no idea what happened to the rest of the cast.
The only bad thing i have to say about the movie is this: as an admirer of racing cars it was really painful to watch such beautiful machine get completely totaled.
You can call me whatever you want.
