dodge didn't make the 231, but it is a GM engine, so it *should* work.
the dodge 3.8 is a 230 ci.
i dont know much about it except that it was for a caravan, so if you can get it to work, it would make your shadow FLY. (lots of torque)
you can get a re-manufactured block for 1,555. keep in mind you will still need fuel injection stuff, and all the accessories that make an engine run well if you go this route. best would be to pull one out of an old dieing caravan, as there are probly tons of them laying around.
it is a longblock so you may well not be able to fit it. especially in a shadow.
