From my '97's experience, stay away from the stealership and get it done at a reputable shop that has done these before and will be 1/2 - 2/3s the cost. I would personally replace all the gaskets, including head, when doing just the intakes, and refill with the 1/2 green coolant 1/2 distilled water vs. the deathcool agent orange stuff. Make sure that whole system is drained and flushed, but not powered fushed of the agent orange liquid death, Unfortnately, the head gasket may have been somewhat comprimised if the intake gasket was an internal vs. external (near the valve cover gasket area, rigth?). I agree on the Toyota comment. Too bad they don't make bigger vans or cars or I would have never bought my Venture, but added to my Toyota fleet. Hey, my cousin works for GM and I still say this.
