If you re-use or use new chafe guards, you can't use pre-flared lines, because the fittings won't fit through the guards.

You will need to duplicate any protective coverings on your replacement brake lines.
Also you will need to flare at least one new flare.
Also flares have specific sizes, if they are too small or large, they could leak
