No.
The reason you would want to reset the ECU is if you advanced timing, installed a pop or CAI, a new header, cams, exhaust, etc. The ECU has to relearn the change in timing, the air/fuil mixture from the intake, the change in exhaust flow exiting the car and/or the change in the cam durations.
It will just help keep things running smoother.
