i'm just curious, because i've asked, and then i've read, and i get 2 different answers.
i know the car uses drive-by-wire for the throttle, but that's just the gas pedal. i asked if the transmission was part of that or had some sort of triptronic aspect to it (like the fit, where you have controls to manually shift an automatic transmission) because i've driven manuals all my life and this one felt like an electronic controller rather than a stick that connected to cables and such.
i know it's no slapstick, and i know manual clutches feel smoother and smoother every year, but i'm really curious about this.
anyone know whether the manual is a real manual or just an electronic stickshift using some rendition or the triptronic thing or something similar to fly/drive-by-wire?
