I had an 87 (same body style) used it everyday great car( I bought a 93.5 tt when they came out) The only real problem with it was the head gasket afaik. get a down pipr( removes the cats) boost controller on the mk3 I believe if you want ot turn up the boost past about 11 psi you need an add on to the ecu to add additional fuel to avoid detonation.
