Don't mean to hi jack your thread but this is kind of similar

I've always wondered how you could access the gas tank if the cable broke that opens the exterior body panel cover.

You know it will happen when its O'dark thirty in the middle of no where and you're running of gas vapor.

Any help or suggestions
