well, i went to the dragstrip this weekend and i was quite amused at what i was seeing.
first off, a new mustang Gt is slower than a wrx. but they are both slower than a dakota 5.9 rt
the dakota that was there ran a 15.4. not too shabby, it was spinning the tires quite well.
the gt mustang that was there first ran a 15.8, but than couldn't get it out of the 16s all day long. granted it was a convertible but it was a 5 speed, so, no excuses there.
and the wrx ran a 15.5 and than a 15.45. but with a 3 mph slower trap speed than the dakota. reason being, wheel spin.
on, and it wasnt a bad day at the track or anything, elevation of 3200 ft and my cuda ran a 13.6 @104 on street tires through the exhaust
also, idl, i'd be interest to see what your car runs at the track. if you run a 14 second time i would be very impressed...it would have to be very near sea level if you wanted anything close to a 14.99 after seeing the troubles that wrx was having.
