Re: Please help! 91 s10 blazer 4.3 wont start!!
Welcome my friend(s) to the show that never ends....
First thing I would attack would be the battery: apparently the truck started and ran since you managed to get from the PO's driveway to yours...and then it sat for a awhile. Computers tend not to like funky voltages and I suspect your battery might be putting out something less than 12v. I would also go over the truck and clean up the main battery connections and battery posts, any other power leads connected to the battery and as many ground connections as you can find. If there is a power distribution panel in the engine bay (usually a "black box" with a removeable lid containing fuses and relays) check the main power lead connection coming into it; if this connection is dirty/corroded then a lot of circuits fed from this panel are going to be subject to the voltage drop across that main connection. Dirty/corroded electrical connections can create significant voltage drops because of the resistance of the dirt/corrosion. This is an easy "fix" as all you need is a wrench, a little WD40 or PB Blaster and some fine grade snadpaper (I like to use 400 grit wet/dry paper). Even if the battery is fine, crudy connections can cause problems because of the voltage drops across them.....
So what else did you have planned for the rest of the week?
