I guess you replaced the coil wire, correct? Did you check for primary voltage at the coil? The primary wires are the two small wires. With the engine cranking they should be hot, anything? If you use a test-lite, the negative primary should pulse, or brighten and dim, with the engine cranking. The positive side may brighten and dim also, but it should be more noticeable on the negative primary, anything?

If you got nothing at the coil primaries, is there a hall switch in the dist? If there are three wires coming from the dist., the gray wire should have a dc pulse with the engine cranking, the other wires should be ref voltage and ground.

I should have asked your engine size? Were there any codes? I believe the info I looked at was for a non-turbo 2.5.
