hahaha, sounds like my junior year in high school. This one girl who was hot in the most subtle way was the girl i would trip on words with. I mean, i had no idea how to approach this girl after a while. well, homecoming was coming up, but i couldn't go to it for whatever reason, so i asked her to prom which was later in the year. She went to homecoming, won homecoming queen, so i was taking the queen to prom, awsome!
just punch yourself in the nuts and go for it. just cuz its "odd" doesn't mean its right, but its definitely something new. try it out, see if you have anything in common, and go with it. In my case, there was nothing after prom, really. she was a very religious "jesus freak" and i was sort of a metal-head... not much in common there, so dates ended up to be quite boring after a while.

edit: i did take a piss on her property after dropping her off from prom's afterparty... if anyone remembers that thread from like a year ago, lol
