well yea same car and everything, just different HP rating.. went up cause they improved on something... Personally I would of gone with the 07 GTP
w/ 252HP

From what you posted... to me in my opinion the salesman was tryin to make a deal. I wouldnt doubt it if they want to get rid of the 06 from the dealerships to make way for the slightly 'improved' 07. Might just have less bugs/chances of error.
Not saying ur purchase was a failure, take what you can afford and what makes ya happy
