Brembo is an excellent choice and worth the extra $ (within reason). They don't warp and pad life will most likely be extended due the fact the rotor is a higher quality stainless material. I would not go with the extra expense of a cross drilled rotor, but you could look at some of the powerslot style. Only thing is they will make a bit of a whirring noise under hard braking. For your pads, just use a good quality pad. I use the middle of the line pads from napa and have no complaints about life or braking performance on any of my vehicles. A Note on high performance brakes - some are designed to work best at high temps and sometimes you'd notice decreased brake performance under normal driving conditions.
