Run Flat tricks?
I am putting 2 new tires onto my girlfriends fathers car. He has a 99 Vette and he is putting run flats back on them. I've done a lot of tires, but the last time I had to do a run flat was on a Mini Cooper, and I had a hell of a time trying to break the tire off the rim. I can only imagine what these tires will be like. So I am asking if anyone has any tricks that they use while mounting these types of tires? If there is nothing than I am just going to go with sheer grit and determination in getting these tires off. I just needed to ask incase someone had a good idea how to break the tire down.
