The CRX Si is now at least more than 10 years young. The stock shocks were made to a Honda spec. Chances are real good that they have been replaced 1 time in the typical 100k miles that most cars this old would have on the odometer. Unless the history of the car is known, there would be no way to know if the parts have been replaced, and if so-with what.
I say this as I just bought a 1 owner '89 CRX Si with 174k on the odometer and it is original. There are no markings on the shocks to indicate who actually made them. The car was bone stock the day I took delivery from a Honda dealer who took the car in trade.
Would I personally use Tokico shocks-no-my preference is Koni. Then again we are lowering the car and converting it to an ITA race chassis.
Sorry for the long answer. Have fun with your ride.
