I asked for a voluntary favor, not ridicule.
You probably thought you might get a laugh or two out of your comments, but not from me. I found it quite offensive. You trivialized my efforts, trivialized his death, and thus trivialized a person who has had such a positive impact on my life, as well as many others.
His music means something to his fans, more than what the Backstreet boys can say (or, rather, their songwriters can say). Bradley was a great musician...an musical genius, in my opinion.
Thank you for pointing out his flaw, by the way. Yes, Bradley was addicted to Heroin, and he knew it and disliked it. Several times he admitted himself to get help, but to no avail. He sang that he knew it would kill him (i.e., "Pool Shark" he says "one day I'm gonna lose the war"). I am not celebrating his addiction, but rather his accomplishments and his life.
I understand that you probably didn't realize what your comments would mean. I'm just asking people to please, do me, and every other Sublime fan, this simple favor. It will mean so much to his fans.
RIP, Brad
