Re: Need help 1972 charger starting problems
The neutral safety switch is located on the driver's side of the transmission near the shift lever. There will be a two-wire connector over a round, screwed in switch. One way to test is to disconnect the two-wire plug from the switch, jumper the two leads and try to start the car with the key. Another test you can do is at the starter relay. Connect a jumper between the two bolted connections on the relay and the starter should engage regardless of the condition of the neutral safety switch.
