The Subaru designers actually had the round headlight design a while ago but decided to postpone there introduction because of toyotas introduction of similarly shaped headlights. (just quietly: the new headlights are starting to grow on me, not just because as a staunch subie fan I'll admit no wrong of them)
As for what in its class can beat it I think you will find that the latest evo will performance wise although after some aftermarket love (windscreen wipers) the rex should be king.
Do you honestly mean to tell me that Americans haven't up to now had the cult rex available to them, America is such an umm lets say different world.
I'm guessing you all realise that the new version isn't as quick as the older one?
