The VSS is the Vehicle Speed Sensor, on most vehicles i have worked to install these on the signal is usually available to both the PCM and the BCM, its better to find a place to tap into it inside the vehicle so you don't have to worry about routing wires out through the firewall, etc. Just makes a cleaner install.

I also need to find the backup light circuit, more specifically the wire that supplies power to the backup lights in the rear, its usually available somewhere under the dash in the harness that supplies the rear of the vehicle on the drivers side.

If you have a service manual with diagrams and a scanner and you have the time to do it send over the scans and then i can assemble them into a .pdf file and make it a smaller single file that might also help others on here.
