Re: removing a 1997 ford escort headlight

There's two screws on the top of the headlight and 2 screws on the bottom.
To get to the bottom ones you have to take the front bumber cover off. There are 4 bolts directly behind the license tag area. There are some 10 mm bolts on top of the bumper cover where it meets the hood. Then, there are 2 bolts on each side that are hidden directly below the side marker lights where the bumper cover meets the fender. A veritical 2-3 inch line with 2 bolts holding it together on the inside. You have to take the front of the wheel wells loose to get to them. All of the bolts except the ones on top take a 14mm socket. It's not a hard job. A guy ought to be able to do it in a couple of hours.
