Re: 40 ford wagon resto

Thanks for the awesome feedback, gang.
Klutz-It's not totally freehand. I cut out sections of frisket paper and using this mask I cut from a cigarette package, I fill in each section.

I'm using automotive paint here and there is a limit as how small I can as for very fine work its too grainy.

Almost done with the airbrushing. I have started to pick out details with a paintbrush and later I will blend and soften some edges with the AB. For the final stage I will bring out the eyes and nose and whatever needs attention. For very fine work Im used to being able touch the work with my hand for steadiness but no matter how I tried to attach the body to my stand, it always moves around and is getting scratched but I think I got the hang of it now.
Malscar-thanks for the pics, I have those already and my first idea was to paint her in her civies but I figured no one would know who she was, but I think thats the one going on the other side. Yep, thats why its black and purple, lol.
Tigeraid-it would be far simple to make a painting and have a decal made from it, and I might consider this in the future, but I just wanted to have fun with this, althou its a little tougher then I thought it would be.
Thanks for visiting, gang
Les
