often times the hood safety pin switch gets broken or corroded, or the wire to it gets broken or shorted to ground somewhere. Take a look under your hood for this switch, it usually is mounted where when the hood is closed, it opens the contacts. You can first start by just unhooking it (should just be a single wire hookup), and tyying to remote start. If no luck, try measuring the continuity between the wire you just unhooked and ground. Just to make sure its not contacting ground anywhere.
