My first nice car was a 66 Catalina (like the white one in the first post), except yellow with a black vinyl top. I bought it in the spring of 67 and it only had 10,000 miles on it. The car was a real nice running car and it took me to California in 1970 while I was in the USAF. The downside was the car did not have AC. It could easily cruise at 100 mph (across the Bonneville salt desert) and actually got "good" gas milage for a 389 2BBL in that heavy car (18-19 mph on 101 octane).
I came back from California in 1972 in the car after I got discharged. I traded it in later that year for my first new car a Chevy Vega GT wagon
The 66 was the nicest looking of the big Pontiacs of that era.
