When I took the pan off on my 4wd 2000 Yukon, I had to drop the front drive shaft and remove the shifter cable bracket to get the pan off.

The shifter cable bracket is a torix bolt and I can't remember the size.

I would start with the shifter bracket since that will probably give you enough clearance to get the pan off.
