I think I also have a related problem on my '95 LHS. Sometimes when I start, the blower is running but no display and no control. It's not very comfortable on the hot days. The only way to find relief is to pull the blower fuse in the panel next to the drivers side door.
Those who referred to the ATC head, what does it look like and where is it? I pulled the center dash cover trim off and removed the temp control box. Unplugged the green & white connectors but no affect. Reinstalled those. Then I pulled the black plastict device (looks like a sealed relay of some sort). Still no affect. I reinstalled all connections and reinstalled everything else.
One final note, if it doesn't work when I begin my commute, it usually magically starts working correctly after about 15 miles or minutes. Does anyone have a clue what the culprit is?
This little annoyance is persuading me to get rid of this car.
