If it really is sluggish I'd check the timing and the cat converter,
make sure it's not partially clogged.
If the car had a timing belt installed it may have the cam sprocket
one tooth off, it happens. I would have it put on a analyzer at the
dealership and have it checked out. That would be your best bet.
