all righty this is actually harder than you would think, what you have to do is first un latch it and open the compartment then you take the bottom of the top and CAREFULLY place it into the compartment, then you start to fold down the top, but before it is folded down you have to straighten the soft top part so that it is all pushed back (away from the seat) as far as it can go, then it is just a matter of CAREFULLY putting it the rest of the way down and shutting the compartment, if you have any problems message me and i will be glad to help you out!!!
