Search this forum for using oil or oil consumption. If it started suddenly, it might be the intake plenum gasket. My Durango started using a lot of oil suddenly around 75,000 miles and that gasket was the problem. Its not the easiest part to change if not mechanically inclined.
Also BTW - BLACK smoke is usually a rich fuel condition, not bad piston rings, BLUE smoke is bad piston rings or worn valve guides and seals. (Like if neglect oil changes or thrash on you car.)
