I haven't looked, but TDC is TDC (0 degrees) and I would think that is where the tick (TDC) should be. So put it at TDC, and make your tick mark on the pulley where 0 degrees is indicated. I could be wrong, I don't have a 1g, but I bet I am right cause a motor is a motor.
