If you have corrosion in the light sockets the easiest way to remove it is put toilet bowl cleaner in a spray can lid, put the light socket in there, dip severaly times until it quits foaming (be sure not to get this on your paint), then spray off with brake cleaner (or electrical connection cleaner), then apply grease. You can brush on the bowl cleaner, but I find it easier the dip the whole thing into it, also works on electrical connectors! Good luck and remember to make sure you have good foam seals on the light socket, or it will keep shorting out and blowing bulbs when you get water in there.
