if you got friends that can help you with labor & stuffs, then go for it...
if not, then it ain't worth it (unless you got lots of cash to throw around)

simple thing:
rebuild your engine & carburator system (clean all those gunks, new fuel, water, & oil pump, belts, check any leaks, & so on)
lighten your flywheel & new clutch
aftermarket header & exhaust cat back (check Pace Setter usually they got some stuffs for older generation cars)
aftermarket plugs, wires, coil ignition & amp or whatever

big thing (AKA expensive):
bigger carburators in 4 barrel type & fuel pump kit (like WEBER, Mikuni, Solex)
fully build engine (internals)
NOS
aftermarket cat & header
aftermarket bushings, clutch & flywheel

or...

Prelude engine (your generation... or even higher like 2L DOHC non-VTEC prelude 89 & below)

suspension stuff:
Eibach Pro Kit (yes, they do have 'em for your car)
Tokico struts
new bushing (aftermarket if possible)

& so on..

hope it helps
