Re: Vtec worth tuning

Well what do you consider "a Vtec"? There are quite a few vtec engines, the sohc Civic engines, the dohc Integra engines (or del sol vtec and '99-'00 Si), and then there's the Prelude H22a. If you want real power, you should swap in an integra vtec engine (B18c1, B18c5, or their jdm counterparts), or the Prelude VTEC (the specific model prelude the h22a came from) engine. Even then, if you want "stomach in throat" kind of power, you'll probably need to look into some kind of forced induction. Even the sohc vtec engines can make great power with forced induction if built up. I know you don't care about numbers, but numbers do matter. Then again it depends on what you do to the engine (build it up n/a or go forced induction).
