Plugged how? Where does the air go? If it is plugged up and has no where to go then it would be like running without a BOV. That's a bad thing. Can you say compressor surge?

OR do you mean to say you are VTA, and only the recirc. tube is plugged off? Is it the stock BOV?
Just put a catch can on that EGR valve. Do all the basic maintenance items first then get to modding.
