PCV could be bad. Oil is blowing through the valve and into the intake.
Some PCV's can be cleaned and re-used, I prefer the replace method myself.
If this is the case, get it fixed sooner than later. Pumping a lot of dirty oil through the intake will cause you some big problems if you let it continue.
You will end up with valve deposits and a ruined CAT.
At 80K miles, you shouldn't have ring or valve guide problems unless the oil wasn't changed as specified on a regular basis. If it turns out to be something major like rings or valve guides, trade it in, it isn't worth the problems that you are going to have if the engine is worn out b/c of neglect.
If someone neglected the engine to the point that it is worn out now, the transmission and the rest of the drivetrain is probably junk too.
