Uhhh... You're typically not supposed to touch any wires THAT close to the ECU. E-Mail
Boomslang and ask them to fabricate an extension harness... They probably won't charge you anymore than $80, and it won't mess anything up.
Fix the wiring if possible, I wouldn't be surprised if there are other problems waiting to be found too. So just get it back to how it was, and hope no damage was done.
