I've driven both, and the GTP is MUCH quicker than a GT. THere are many more modding options with the GTP to make it even quicker if that's what you want. I bought the GT because it's a daily driver, and I like the fact that I can run regular gas. Mileage for a GTP (correct me if I'm wrong guys) should be in the 18-22MPG range overall, with 30+ on a trip. I get 19-22 overall with my GT, and got better than 32 on a trip to Tennesee from Michigan doing 70-75 mph (depending on what state I was in). The only issues with the S/C are the snout bearings and coupler, which are DIY'able if you ever have an issue with either. GT's have the upper plenum failure issue, so they aren't trouble free either. If you want performance, go with a GTP. If you want economically priced fuel, go with a GT. I'm very happy with my GT, but there's always a time or two I wish I had a GTP.
