I used the wiring that came with the PIAA fog lights. My installer ran them so they are pretty well hidden. The switch is mounted in the exact same place where the stock fog light switch would be. I was thinking about getting it, but it costs about $35 and I didn't want to add that to the total cost. The PIAA switch is pretty nice and has a green(off)/red(on) indication.

Otherwise, I would just have them installed, wiring them to your existing alarm system (doesn't matter whether it's factory or not). They are definitely worth their price. Oh, one more thing... make sure you get the new model PIAAs. The last years model had a problem with the fuse housing causing the bulbs to continuously blow (my buddy had them and our installer changed the fuse housing for him). Hope this helps.
