Damn, sorry to hear that man. 23k and some change no leaks on a 2000. I've had a few buddies with leaks on full size chevys and gmcs. both had troubling times with local dealers but pushed the issue very hard and eventually after failed repairs had a complete new rear end installed. For what its worth!
