some models do have them on the firewall, don't ask, don't know, just the way it is. According to the manuals, mine is on the fire wall, when in all reality, mine is physically on the core support. Just the same as the manual will say the plug gap on a 85-87 TPI is .045" whne the emissions decal reads and progper gapping IS .035".
