Yes,0.3mm is a bit small to handle the metal flakes relatively.But the Tamiya HG 0.5mm seems like too expensive .Personally I feel 0.3mm tip is enough to handle automotive paint.

The function of Ustar U3 airbrush is almost the same with Tamiya 74530 airbrush.
