Re: 2000 E320 won't start
We have a 2000 E320 which began to experience the same problems about 3 -4 weeks ago. Last week our local "foreign car specialist" (we are 73 miles from a MB Dealer) replaced the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter. Next day, same problem.
My wife took the car to the MB Dealer today and they diagnoised the problem as a faulty "crankshaft position sensor" . The Dealer, which has a good reputation said the problem would not be caused by a faulty fuel pump.
The part is approximately $126 plus labor and we will not have the car back until this Thursday. I'll let you know if it fixed the problem.
