Usually, taking a trans out is not that hard, but it my be best to do some research on it. On a scale from 1-10, I'd rate it close to a 7 just for the work involved. You will need a socket and ratchet set obviously, jack and jackstands/car ramps, a clutch alignment tool for your specific vehicle and trans., some pry bars, breaker bar, and few others. Now some of these tools are just for if things do not come out easy.
